Why choose this program?

A strong, unique program

TIAS sees four key challenges facing modern controllers.

  1. The first is the call to ensure that ethics and social responsibility become a more integral part of the financial role.
  2. The second is the growing complexity from the sweeping impact of developments around big data tools and analytics.
  3. Basic principles related to human behavior pose the third challenge. Finance professionals should be more aware of the psychological aspects of decision-making and the potential impact of financial information on employee behavior and motivation.
  4. The fourth challenge is how to deal with a “VUCA” world. “VUCA” stands for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous.

Almost every part of the program tackles these four challenges.

Broad financial and economic expertise: You learn how to provide reliable financial advice, making you a business partner to senior management

Personalized support: get more out of your education with our personalized support and use of the most effective learning methods.

Broad and in-depth knowledge: gain an understanding of multidisciplinary and scientific analyses of complex issues, so you can provide effective advice.

Practical concepts and challenging working methods stimulate new ways of thinking, which you can put directly into practice.

Our participants give the Executive Master of Finance & Control/Registered Controller a rating of 8.8.

Scientific insights and theoretical frameworks

TIAS offers you the latest scientific insights and theoretical frameworks with our efficient blended learning approach. This lets you draw the right connections and put them directly into practice. The diversity of assignments and projects ensures a practical education, so you can immediately make your mark on your organization.

Our program challenges you to work through real-world cases using findings from scientific research. The course literature consists of cutting-edge scientific research and materials to bridge the gap with practice. This approach is also preferred for the papers.

Instructors are carefully selected for quality: they combine academic excellence (rigor) with practical expertise and experience (relevance).

How will this program benefit your organization?

The program has participants work on practical assignments that directly benefit their organizations. Such as a thesis paper on an internal control problem in the organization. The graduation project in the final year also focuses on a real-world management control issue, with a particular focus on how to implement science-based advice. Participants also take an exam on this. In addition, the program delves into risk management. Finally, practical assignments encourage the use of big data tools, such as process mining. In short: organizations will quickly enjoy the following ROI:

  • Practical solutions that benefit the organization
  • Significant boost to controller performance on all fronts
  • Keen awareness of enterprise risk management
  • Greater knowledge of and experience with big data tools
