Executive Master of IT Auditing (EMITA)
Make a difference and gain your EMITA master’s degree The duties of an IT auditor go beyond the performance of audits. Technology’s rapid evolution requires IT auditors to have a solid grasp of the reasons behind audit requests. Therefore, in addition to the gaining of knowledge, the program also focuses on promoting a critical, investigative attitude. The assessment, reporting and substantiation of audit findings play important roles. A key element of this program is its focus on using the knowledge and skills gained through case studies in your own work. A wide range of stakeholders and ethical dilemmas are addressed as well.
Composition of the part-time Executive Master of IT Auditing (EMITA) The master’s program offers a highly varied curriculum. Lectures are heavily case-oriented. They are taught from the perspective of management and focus primarily on how to set up operational control processes. Our lecturers are authorities in their fields, have extensive practical experience and are highly involved in the program. The personalized guidance at TIAS and the part-time format make sure that you can combine your studies with work and other duties.
Study load The number of lecture days per academic year is approximately 28 days. The lectures are given on Fridays, which will take place partly online. In addition, the study program has a study load of 12 -15 hours per week excluding the lecture days.
Personal development
Your personal development is an integral element of the EMITA program. The aim is that in addition to gaining knowledge and insight, you will also work on your personal development and leadership skills.
Result: EMITA master’s degree and MSc
On successful completion of the program, you will be awarded an EMITA master’s degree and the internationally recognized MSc title. The degree is recognized as a Master of Science by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). Additionally, TIAS is recognized by AACSB and NOREA.
