From Change Management Expertise to Personal Effectiveness in Change Initiatives
In this masterclass, you work on yourself as a change leader. Not through new models or frameworks, but by doing, experiencing, and reflecting—based on your own real-life cases and those of your fellow participants. You’ll explore the destructive dynamics that can derail change initiatives, how you may contribute to them, and how to navigate them more effectively and intentionally. Through a change simulation, you’ll map out your personal profile as a change leader—your tendencies, strengths, and pitfalls. You’ll also develop a personal plan to continue growing as a change professional. Theory serves as a means, not an end: everything is directly translated into your own day-to-day practice.

Day 2 - Verandersimulatie
People are different—and that’s what makes every change complex. Where one person needs just a few words, another requires a much more thorough approach. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. So how do you effectively deal with all these differences—while still maintaining momentum?

Day 3 - Reflection and the Change Canvas
Next, we explore how to continue developing yourself as a change leader. Because effective change starts from within—and it’s not a destination, but an ongoing process. Using the Change Canvas as your guide, you’ll work on your own learning and development journey: how do you define the next step in your growth, and how do you translate that into concrete action?
A word from the Academic Director
There is no single approach to change initiatives. Each time, you need to determine what’s required and which techniques or methods will be most effective. Every situation is different, and organizations are constantly evolving. That doesn’t mean you have to reinvent the wheel—but you do need to actively create the change you want, every time. Human behavior and employee resistance are major obstacles in many change initiatives. That’s why this masterclass places strong emphasis on engaging people and bringing colleagues along in the process. My goal is to equip participants with practical ways to successfully manage change.” Prof. Dr. Geert Heeling
