This module is designed to enable you to analyze, plan, and improve supply chains based on data, scenarios, and supply chain collaboration. You will work on the following learning objectives:
End-to-end supply chain insight: you understand how demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and service influence each other throughout the chain.
Integrated S&OP and planning processes: you will learn to approach S&OP, demand planning and supply planning as a coherent decision-making process rather than as separate steps.
Data-driven forecasting and inventory strategy: You will sharpen your understanding of forecasting, safety stock, and inventory positioning, and learn which choices are appropriate for different demand patterns and supply chain types.
Dealing with variability and bullwhip: you will recognize the causes of bullwhip effects, disruptions, and planning mismatches and learn where you can intervene in the process and behavior.
Collaboration and alignment in the chain: you explore how functions and chain partners (sales, operations, finance, purchasing, logistics) can better coordinate based on shared goals, scenarios and agreements.
Practical implementation: you apply concepts and models to your own organization and develop concrete improvement options for service, costs, and working capital.
