Strategic Foresight & Scenario Planning

Over three consecutive days, you will develop a complete approach for gaining a better grip on the future: from exploring what is coming your way to translating those insights into strategy. In this process, the future is not a single point on the horizon, but a range of possibilities. You will gain a coherent set of methods and tools and apply them immediately. In addition to interactive lectures, workshops, and assignments, cases introduced by participants are a fixed component: you will work on challenges from your own practice. The masterclass is delivered by faculty with years of experience in strategic foresight, both academically and in practice.

Day 1: The world around us

On the first day, you turn your attention outward. Which technological, economic, and societal forces will change your environment in the years ahead, and what does that mean?

Day 2: A view of the future

On the second day, you bring individual trends and signals together into coherent future scenarios: plausible images of how your strategic landscape may develop. This makes the range of possibilities your strategy must anticipate concrete.

Day 3: Toward the future

On the third day, you translate future scenarios into choices for today. Which strategic options emerge, how do you make the right choice among those options, and what type of decision making and leadership does this require of you?

Time investment and result

The Strategic Foresight & Scenario Planning Master Class takes place over 3 days. The program has been set up in such a way that the preparation time for following the masterclass is limited. Take into account a total preparation time of 4 hours.

Upon completion of this master class, you will receive a Strategic Foresight & Scenario Planning certificate from TIAS.

PE-points
