Why choose this program?
Operations and supply chain as a strategic lever
This module is designed to provide you with the insight and language to strategically interpret, design, and discuss operations and supply chains. You will work toward the following learning objectives:
Strategic alignment: you will learn to translate value propositions into clear order qualifiers and order winners, and from that, deduce what this requires of your operation and supply chain.
Understanding operations strategy patterns: you will become familiar with frameworks from Hill, Hayes & Wheelwright, Fisher, and Olhager, among others, and use them to analyze and position existing operations and supply chain strategies.
Footprint and supply chain design choices: you explore strategic decisions regarding footprint (locations, scale), process configuration, capacity strategy, make-or-buy, and vertical integration.
Supply chain position and planning structures: you understand the role of customer order decoupling points, planning structures, and the degree of integration with supply chain partners in realizing your strategy.
Translation to your own practice: you apply the frameworks to your own organization or case and identify where misalignment lies, which strategic choices are missing, and which change agenda follows from this.
What will the program bring you?

Strategic anchoring: operations and supply chain explicitly linked to value proposition and competitive strategy.

Sharper choices and trade-offs: conscious consideration between costs, quality, speed, flexibility and risk.

Consistent decision frameworks: shared frameworks for footprint, integration, make-or-buy, and planning structures.

Visible leadership role: a more robust discussion partner for management and the board on investments, transformations, and operational strategy.
