Why choose this program?
Financial management that balances behavior and value
This module is designed to increase your insight and ability to analyze, design, and apply financial control mechanisms. You will work on the following learning objectives:
Understanding financial information as a management tool: you will understand how reports, budgets, and other financial information are tools for influencing behavior and decision-making within organizations.
Cost allocation and decision-making: you can apply different cost allocation systems (including Activity-Based Costing) and assess their implications for pricing, investments, and management decisions.
Transfer pricing and internal settlement mechanisms: you will analyze and evaluate structures for internal transfer prices in complex organizations and see how these choices influence behavior, collaboration, and performance.
Recognizing tensions between management objectives: you recognize tensions between profitability, collaboration, customer value, compliance, and social objectives, and can analyze them from both a financial and strategic perspective.
KPIs and behavior: you will learn how performance indicators drive behavior and collaboration, and you will be able to make proposals to better align KPI structures with the organization's strategic goals.
Working capital and long-term value creation: you apply insights from working capital management and decentralized control to your own practice and learn to balance short-term results with sustainable value creation.
