Executive MBA program overview
TIAS' Executive MBA comprises four themed stages that together provide a comprehensive view of business administration from both an operational and strategic perspective. Each stage concludes with a Live Performance Challenge Weekend, where you put your knowledge to the test in a real client case. The program is designed to further your academic and personal development, your leadership qualities and your social awareness. The combination of academic concepts and practical tools offered in varied assignments and working methods encourages you to think differently and embeds what you have learned. This allows you to put your newly acquired knowledge to good use and make an impact immediately, rather than waiting until after graduation.
BizzTrek Rwanda This four-day exploration of the business environment in Rwanda is an essential part of the program. Through maximum immersion in the local (business) environment, you get to discover the many ways that business and society are intertwined and interact. This journey is invaluable. Stepping into a totally different context expands your mind and touches your heart. It’s an unforgettable experience.
Leadership Leadership is an integral part of the Executive MBA. TIAS’ unique, integrated approach combines workshops geared towards developing skills, deep awareness, experiential learning and peer-to-peer coaching. The fixed peer-to-peer coaching groups meet five times throughout the EMBA and are supervised by a coach. This allows you to achieve optimum personal growth. Our coaches will supervise you in developing and honing your core competencies and working towards your personal goals. In this way, the Executive MBA creates an environment that supports both professional and personal growth.

A Word from our Academic Director
“An Executive MBA is not just a degree program. It’s more of a process of transformation. And that’s what makes it different. Naturally we have world-class instructors who earned their stripes in the business world. Thanks to their knowledge, participants can make better decisions and solve problems faster. But these competencies, vital as they are, are not the key difference. The key difference is the personal transformation. With new self-confidence, participants become trusted advisers to their CEOs, realize that they’re ready for far more responsibility and seek it out, or develop a clear vision for their future and reimagine their careers. In the Executive MBA, we facilitate that transformation. Because that’s how we accomplish our goal: developing leaders who serve society by transforming business.”
Prof. Dr. Roemer Visser
Time investment and outcome
The Executive MBA at TIAS is a program that lets you balance your work, study and private life. The course load is 16 to 18 hours a week. Every year there are 10 weekends of lectures in Tilburg, five per stage, from Thursday morning to Saturday afternoon. The shared learning experiences and individual study on these days offer excellent added value for participants. There will be two onboarding weekends before you start and an offboarding weekend once you have completed your Capstone.
After successful completion of your studies, you receive the title of Master of Business Administration (MBA). In addition, the TIAS program holds both international (AMBA) and institutional (AACSB) accreditations.
Flexibility
The EMBA’s modular structure offers participants the opportunity to complete the program at an accelerated pace or take a break if necessary. Participants can also graduate at their own pace as they get to decide when to start their Capstone Projects. For more information, please contact your Program Adviser.
