Sustainable Real Estate Development

The Advanced Program takes a broad approach to the concept of sustainability. The program does not just cover environmental and energy challenges, it also focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation with a view to improving people's well-being, health, and productivity. This all-round approach will help real estate products to become more future-proof. There is an increasing need to combine achieving economic results with solving social challenges.

We will explore these new multi-faceted strategies and business models at three levels:

  • The organization
  • The spatial scale of cities and areas
  • Individual buildings and the portfolio

The Advanced Program Sustainable Real Estate Development consists of two blocks related to the real estate sector:

  • Strategies for sustainable business
  • Climate-adaptive, inclusive and circular development

A Word from our Academic Director

"The real estate sector is in transition across the board. One of the main challenges is sustainability. It is essential that the sector innovate toward new products, services, and processes. This doesn't just create sustainability challenges at the buildings level, but also in urban areas and even entire cities. The new corporate strategies and business models form a sustainable connection between financial and social gains."
