Brands as ecosystems for meaning, experience and innovation

Strong brands create preference, influence behavior, and build long-term relationships. At the same time, you may notice that brands often remain tied to logos, campaigns, or tone of voice. In a rapidly changing digital and societal context, practice frequently lags behind: brand stories are compelling on paper, but across journeys, touchpoints, and organizational culture, the experience can become fragmented.

In the master module Brand Management, you study brands explicitly as dynamic ecosystems. You explore how meaning continuously emerges through interactions with customers, communities, employees, and society—and how the brand shifts from a fixed positioning to a meaning system in motion. You examine how brand experience, customer experience, and employee experience reinforce each other—or come under pressure—and what this requires in terms of choices for propositions, channels, and behavior.

Using cases and your own organization as a reference, you investigate where the brand currently gets stuck: in isolated campaigns, in inconsistent experiences across channels, or in a gap between external promises and internal reality. You explore how brand management can be better positioned as an organization-wide responsibility, working across marketing, CX, HR, leadership, and external agencies.

This module equips you with the language, frameworks, and practical tools to structurally connect brand strategy with culture, customer-centricity, and innovation. You apply the insights directly to your own context and leave with concrete points of action to manage brands as ecosystems: meaningful for customers and communities, and embedded in the way your organization collaborates and makes decisions.
